Hello! So glad you are here

I’m Donna.

Here’s the skinny on me. I’m a person who loves to learn, practise art, and value service in my community. I’m a person who uses the right AND left side of my brain. I’m sharing my learnings with others as a Healing Arts Practitioner; Expressive Arts and Intuitive Painting Facilitator and ‘play’ permission giver. My background is a mental health nurse, artist, teacher, and instructional designer. Sometimes, life offers challenges and I experienced some as a youth with witnessing violence in the home, a run in with a pedophile, and sexualized dating violence. So…after that I took many years to use my own healing to explore and find my whole self! This included using ART as part of this healing. It’s was key for working through body, mind, and spiritual stuff. Through this journey, I’ve found my way to you! I understand resiliency AND resistance. I’ll help you to learn to thrive and seize joy, love, and playfulness in YOUR life through creativity.

Join me as our journey continues. It’s always evolving, isn’t it?! My destiny is meeting with yours to share healing through the arts and 1:1 and group connection to recognize the goodness and value of your whole personhood and unique abilities to shine in your best life.

You can:

  • Conquer inner doubts
  • Heal your fear in creativity settings
  • Diminish or stomp out your inner critic
  • Unleash your creative freedom to play
  • Tend to your fire in building creative practise

JOIN THE CREATIVE VIBE

Kindness Tree Art studio in Cobble Hill was opened to others in 2018; we offer unique group experiences and expressive art and intuitive painting workshops which integrate the creative process sprinkled with spiritual healing practices. There is an emphasis on a non-comparative and a non-judgemental approach. Intuitive 'freedom to play' evokes an inevitable resistance followed by letting go to full self-expression! It is often a surprise what shows up out of creating from the depth of our soul centre. This where "Aha!" shows up alongside unexpected fun and satisfaction. People say this leads to positive shifts and experiences of realignment.

As for the lifelong learning of becoming an artist- studies include charcoal, sketching, acrylic painting, mixed media, and sculpture which included design at Victoria School of Art. I am passionate about combining travel and art retreats and courses with travelling to Portland, San Francisco, Oaxaca, and Whidbey Island.
